Womenspace believes that inclusive access, peer networking and creative uses of communication technologies are powerful vehicles for social equality. Women’s communication rights and women’s equality issues must be included in the public policy process. We want to ensure that women’s voices and women’s equality are a vital part of online engagement and a vibrant democracy.
What does the organization do?
Womenspace is a Canadian non-profit organization which promotes women’s participation in information and communication technology. Our activities include the development of online resources and learning, research, education and initiatives which support the use of Internet for women’s equality. We work for the inclusion of women and women’s organizations in all areas of ICT policy development and implementation.
Opportunities for Youth
Womenspace supports inclusion and ensures diversity of women's voices and experiences. We work in coaliton with other women and women organizations including young women using ICTs. Womenspace works to Promote Women’s Electronic Networks We do this by sharing resources and collaborating with other women’s electronic networks, and enabling internet users to find appropriate resources and organizations working on equality issues.
