 Mission/Vision
We aim at common welfare for the Surinamese youth. Umoja contemplates welfare on social, cultural, health and political dominion.
Umoja means togetherness, so we use the strength of togetherness to achive what we're aiming at. Together with other young ones, we have to work hard to realise our vision.
What does the organization do?
Our activities are different. We collaborate with others too. We educate youth about HIV/AIDS. We already trained a group of young ones from a boarding school. we are planning a workshop for youth from the interior at the moment. we hold discussions for youth in different locations. we also work with the department of youth affairs of our country.
Opportunities for Youth
Our organization gives youth the opportunity to develop skills to become better human beeings. the different organizations we work with are our "relative" after our activities. We don't use them for our activities and then never see them again. We are trying together with them to make live easier for them. We do this by organizing workshops. We even send them to represent us at activities. If we get an invitation, we always ask "can i bring some other youth with me?"
