Founded by David de Rothschild, Adventure Ecology promotes respect and responsibility for our Planet, its environment, species and peoples by developing a greater connection with nature and an understanding of the Planet's greatest challenge: Climate Change.
Adventure Ecology travels through some of the world's most dangerous, physically testing, exciting and environmentally fragile regions, presenting the facts around global warming and climate change, and helping to promote the information needed to create lasting solutions.
What does the organization do?
AE is a leader in Education for Sustainable development. Through expeditions to some of the world's most dangerous, exciting and environmentally challenged zones, students share in the wonders of nature and see the devastating effects of global warming on ecosystems. Accompanying learning materials raise awareness about the detrimental impact of modern civilisation on the environment, and inspire change through realistic solutions and everyday actions that transform individuals from being part of the problem to becoming part of the solution.
Opportunities for Youth
AE is the community space for a global youth network that learns, acts, shares and speaks on the environment.
It includes a free of charge learning program that is visually dynamic, multimedia rich and provides young people with an engaging kaleidoscope of learning and collaborative opportunities.
Adventure Ecology excites the imagination, motivates and supports tomorrow's environmental thinkers and doers.
