YCEP's programs are centered on promoting the reproductive health and rights of young people as well as combating the worst forms of child labour/trafficking. Our work promotes responses to child rights and youth development through research and documentation, training, advocacy, and mobilization. In collaboration with government agencies, community groups, NGOs, youth networks, and international partners, YCEP acts as a catalyst in developing and promoting empowerment strategies which enable young people to claim their rights and effectively participate in democracy and development at the community and national levels. Our work in the area of HIV/AIDS has received wide acclaim, the most recent of which in the international UNDP/UNAIDS Red Ribbon Award 2006.
