All youth have all been exposed to different things in their lives such as culture, religion, morals, values, communities, recreational activities and things that their families have taught them to believe. Their must be an understanding of youth based on respect from each individual because of each other's cultures and religion's to overcome those obstacles to further develop an understanding community. We all have a blueprint for life and if we were just to show each other our plans then maybe the bigger plan can start to change to be able to adapt to all our needs. First we must first come together; this is our first step in becoming a youth community development team.

The organization Communities For children provides the resources to the youth community development team so that they can bridge the gap between youth and the resources that they may need in life, whether it be basic needs or other needs that will ensure youth and children grow up in a safe, healthy, happy, supportive and inclusive environment. Through community consensus, collaboration, research and social planning C4C will provide action- oriented leadership in issues which affect quality of life for children and youth.

The youth community development team consists of two permanent staff and 2 casual staff that develop and implement projects that facilitate and engage Saskatoon youth. For example, one of our projects was setting up a youth working group.
The youth Working group has been established to seek a wide range of youth input in the concerns, youth are facing. This youth working group will consist of representatives from all aspects of youth issues. The youth voice will be improved by allowing the youth to make decisions on programs that are designed for them/ The youth working group will be a part of a process that will help develop a stronger youth voice, steeped in a variety of perspectives.
