Mission/Vision
The Global Young Greens are striving for the following principles on all levels (local, national, regional, global):
1) Protection and restoration of the environment and respect towards animals
2) Sustainable, equitable and just development
3) Social Justice
4) Grassroots, participatory and global democracy, and in particular empowering young people to participate and build more democratic societies
5) Peaceful and non-military conflict resolution, arms control, disarmament
6) Gender justice, empowerment of women
7) Inter-generational justice, empowerment of youth and children
8) Freedom from discrimination on any grounds whatsoever, and equality for all
9) Empowerment of marginalised and disadvantaged people.
10) Just globalisation and fair trade
11) Personal freedom on the basis of universal human rights
12) The right of all people to self-determination particularly indigenous people.
What does the organization do?
The just founded organization will organize youth exchanges, campaigns and conferences to realize the above mentioned visions.
There is a steering committee that is as regionally- as gender-balanced that takes care of the daily organizational work. The more political tasks will be led by to be set up working groups that will discuss on different issues (technical or topical). All these information will be available more concrete on our website.
Opportunities for Youth
The organization gives young people the opportunity to learn to discuss and to work in a global field with people from all over the world to topics that are important all over the world. Young people can be part of a network to reach the vision to en green the world.
