 Mission/Vision
In today’s world, we are bombarded with news about the problems of the world, the state of society, and what the government may or may not do about it. But that isn’t our only option.
It’s time to pull up our socks and start making the change we want to see. The NBEN YOUTH ACTION GROUP is a network of dedicated young activists
in the province. Our collective goal is to strengthen the youth social/environmental movement by sharing ideas and resources, coordinating campaigns, and supporting and inspiring each other in as many ways as possible.
What does the organization do?
We host regular events across the province for youth to meet each other, for youth to meet community groups, and for youth just to have fun. We organize larger skills- and capacity-building workshops for youth, workshops and conferences on different environmental and social justice issues, and keep youth up-to-date on other conferences and events. We facilitate networking and coalition-building among youth groups and in the broader community, all in the name of social change.
Opportunities for Youth
Attend conferences and events, organize actions, make connections, have fun, learn skills, share skills, travel, discover your region, affect change, be in touch with a broader environmental and social justice movement, etc.
Two annual conferences (winter and summer), high school visits, action guides and tool-kits, friendly advice and guidance.
