To develop an AIDS –free generation through youth-adult partnerships.we recognise and respect the audult expectise, experience and gain some skills from them.YOHO is a vibrant NGO with effective community outreach programs aimed at educating youth aged 10-29 on HIV/AIDS and other sexual/reproductive health issues, and promoting positive responsible sexual behavior.
What does the organization do?
Youth Health Organization (YOHO) is an independent non-profit organization. The organization’s core business is Triple E: Entertainment Education for Empowerment. This links life skills building activities with the arts (drama, poetry, music, storytelling etc.). Its strengths lie on its participatory approaches that respect human rights and the key national principles of booth (humility), therisanyo (consultation) and the belief that change is possible
Opportunities for Youth
learn best practices and make sure young people are represented at in all decision making bodies that are relevant to youth issues.
School Going Youth: We are intending to motivate the school going youth to completely abstain. Their core business is education and they must focus their efforts on that only. Young people have a habit of shying away when they are sick and not go to the hospitals. We intend through our life skill session to encourage them to open up and talk to their parents and teachers.
