VISION:
"We envision United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) as a community of young Filipino leaders, who are globally competitive, guided by Filipino values in pursuing the standards and ideals of the United Nations towards the sustainable development of the Philippines."
MISSION:
1. To believe that the Filipino youth, equipped with upright skills and values, can make a difference through unity amidst diversity.
2. To innovate programs and projects that will empower young individuals to respond to the challenges of the global community.
3. To lead the Filipino youth in promoting and upholding the ideals and standards of the United Nations for the service and welfare of the Philippine society.
4. To inspire the Filipinos to be sensitive and socially responsible to the needs of others while remaining rooted to their culture and values.
5. To build a strong and forward-looking Philippine society that is capable of providing sufficient resources for the betterment of the Filipino people.”

What does the organization do?

The major aim of UNYA is to inspire young people to adopt the ideals and objectives of the United Nations, recognising it as the only global organisation that maintains the hope of world peace. The aims and objectives of UNYA are summarised in the preamble to the UNYA Constitution:
“We, the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYA), believing in the purposes and principles of the United Nations, aim to encourage youth to strive towards a greater understanding of global issues, and to educate them about the United Nations’ structure, functions and future.
In achieving these aims UNYA will:
i. increase the level of youth awareness of the United Nations while emphasising a global perspective;
ii. facilitate discussion and debate on a diverse range of issues through regular communication and activities;
iii. provide inspiration and opportunities for youth to realise their full potential as decision makers; and
iv. serve as a voice for youth within the United Nations with regards to policies, actions and structural change.
The Association’s members are committed volunteers who act on the basis of goodwill, giving shape and hope to our future.”

The community benefits by having a larger pool of focused, motivated and skilled young leaders.
